For contractors, woodlots, and community forests
We Buy Logs
We are not in the logging business: we are buyers. Seaton purchases dry balsam and under-utilized logs that bigger mills pass over, the dead, dry, and decadent wood that is often left in the bush or burned. If you have that kind of fibre, it is exactly what we want.
The fibre we are looking for
Balsam left to dry in the bush gets cracks and checks that make it uneconomic for big dimension mills. That is exactly the wood we want. We square it into solid cants, and what does not become a cant becomes chips for a local pellet plant. Wood that would otherwise burn, put to use.
If you have a load of dry balsam or other under-utilized logs and you are not sure whether they fit, call us. We will tell you straight.
Who we buy from
Logging contractors, woodlot licence holders, and community forests across the Bulkley Valley and northern BC. We are a small outfit on Highway 16 and we will get back to you quickly.
