Custom Sawmill Work and Custom Wood Products

Bigger order, odd size, unusual spec? We are a custom sawmill small enough to pick up the phone and figure it out with you. We mill custom wood products from dry balsam at our Highway 16 yard.

Custom milling for custom needs

Standard cant runs cover most requests, but a small mill can flex where a large industrial operation cannot. Seaton Forest Products has been taking custom orders at its Highway 16 yard since 2016. Our cant sawmill works exclusively in dry balsam, the salvaged and fire-damaged timber larger mills leave behind. Within what balsam and our line allow, we will look at heavier timbers, non-standard cross-sections, and larger or single-spec runs. We will not promise something we cannot deliver.

Most of what we cut is standard cants, but a small mill can flex. If you need wood beams, heavier timbers, or a run that does not fit a catalogue, talk to us. We will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do with dry balsam.

How to place a custom order

The best starting point is a phone call or an email with your dimensions, quantities, and a rough timeline. Call (250) 847-1430 or write to office@seatonforest.ca. We will review the spec against what balsam can support and what the line is set up for, then get back to you with a straight answer. No long wait times, no automated replies.

What people ask us to mill

  • Wood beams for builders and renovators in the Bulkley Valley.
  • Heavier or longer timbers outside our standard cant sizes.
  • Larger runs of a single spec.

Send us the details: dimensions, quantities, and timing.
