Saw Logs from Our Smithers Sawmill
We work with dry balsam saw logs: timber previously burnt or left in the bush. Our Highway 16 cant sawmill turns those logs into squared cants and chips, with nothing wasted.
The saw logs we take
Our niche is dry balsam: logs that are no longer a candidate for a larger mill. Where others see waste, we see usable timber. Every saw log that comes through the gate leaves as cants for finished lumber or as chips bound for a local pellet plant.
We mill dry balsam: the logs left burnt or behind in the bush that larger mills will not take. Every log leaves the yard as squared cants for finished lumber or as chips bound for a local pellet plant, so nothing is wasted.
