How to Buy from Our Smithers Sawmill
Buying direct from a small sawmill is simple. Here is how pickup, delivery, minimum orders, and lead times work at our Highway 16 yard near Smithers.
Pickup or delivery
Local customers are welcome to pick up direct from the yard at 7865 BC-16 W on Highway 16, near Smithers. For larger orders or customers farther out, we can help arrange a haul. Tell us where you are and we will sort out the best option.
Most of our cants ship south to a remanufacturing partner in Langley, so we are set up for long-haul transport. Smaller direct orders to local customers are common too.
Minimum orders and lead times
We sell cants by the lift and boards by the lift or load. Partial lifts and custom lengths are available on request. Lead time depends on what we have milled and banded at the time, so the fastest answer is always a quick call or quote request.
- Cants: sold by the lift, with lift counts that vary by size. See the cant size table for pieces per lift and board feet.
- Rough-cut boards: two-inch balsam in random widths and lengths, by the lift or load.
- Wood chips: by the trailer load.
- Custom timber: odd sizes and larger runs on request.
How our cants are prepared for transport
Every cant is squared on four sides, graded, and banded into lifts for long-haul transport. That keeps loads tidy and predictable whether they are bound for Langley or a local job site. Ask us about banding and load sizes when you request a quote.
