What we mill, and an honest note on cedar
If you searched for a cedar mill near Smithers or the Bulkley Valley, you have found us, but we want to be upfront: Seaton Forest Products is a dry balsam operation. Cedar is not what we cut. Our cant sawmill at 7865 BC-16 W on Highway 16 runs exclusively on dry balsam, the salvaged and fire-damaged timber that larger mills pass over, turning it into squared cants, two-inch rough boards, and chips. We have been doing this since 2016 and we are good at it.
